There seems to be some good news for Arsenal fans on the injury front as there are reports that Arsenal and Germany international striker Lukas Podolski is set to make a come back to training with Arsenal’s first team this week. Podolski has been out injured for the past 6 weeks after he pulled his hamstring in Arsenal’s 3-1 win over Fulham in a game in which he got 2 of Arsenal’s 3 goals.
The German was initially thought to be out for just 4 weeks but checks by German doctors later showed that he will actually be out for much longer. Only last week, he posted a picture of himself in the gym trying to get fit as he attempts a comeback to the first team.
With so many injures to key players, Arsenal could do with the likes of Podolski back to the first team. Currently out due to injury is Theo Walcott, Oxlade Chamberlain, Abou Diaby and several other youngsters.
With Walcott also likely to return next week, Arsenal now have good attacking options and are looking stronger for the November run in.
