Bielik, 20, joined on loan from Arsenal on deadline day, with Albion’s Jack Fitzwater and Stoke’s Julien Ngoy also arriving until the end of the season.

The centre-half – who enjoyed a loan spell at Birmingham last campaign – has a ‘slight niggle’ and will not feature for the Saddlers tomorrow, though.

When asked if the new signings will be involved in the six-pointer, Whitney said: “We have to take time – you look at how many games they’ve played.

“I know that Krystian has got a slight niggle, we knew that.

“Whether he is right for the weekend, I’m unsure. But I’m not going to risk him as we need him for the remainder of the season. I’ll speak to them all individually and we’ll see.

“Some may start, some may not. Some may be on the bench, some may not be.

“It’s going to be an interesting one but I’m sure the team we put out will be a strong team.”

Walsall are 18th in League One ahead of the encounter – three points ahead of Dons, who are in the drop zone.

“This is what you talk about, even now, a six-pointer don’t you? This is one of them,” said Whitney.

“Of course, it helps massively if you get the win but we can’t guarantee that.

“We have to just perform. We need to recognise their game-plan early on and not give them a foothold.

“MK have been inconsistent. I know Robbie (Neilson) did everything he could – he was unfortunate to lose his job.

“They’ll be looking for some stability, looking to try get some points on the board.

“We’ve got to expect their A-game. We’ll go out there to entertain – play with energy, enthusiasm and enjoyment.

“They’re the three big E’s that we talk about at the club.”
