Massive blow! Another Arsenal player ruled out of Liverpool game with injury

Arsenal have received another massive injury blow ahead of their Premier League game with Liverpool.

Mesut Ozil was sent home from training on Wednesday and is a doubt for Arsenal’s crucial Premier League clash with Liverpool on Saturday, according to Goal.

The Germany international hasn’t played since the Champions League defeat at Bayern Munich back on February 15 and sat out the FA Cup win over Sutton due to back spasms.

Ozil is said to be hopeful of being passed fit in time to face Jurgen Klopp’s side, who beat Arsenal 4-3 on the opening day of the season, but was sent home from the Gunners’ Colney training base due to illness and instructed to rest.

The 28-year-old was with the rest of his teammates on Tuesday night as the squad enjoyed an evening of bowling.

Arsenal travel to Anfield looking to protect their position in the top four against a Liverpool side still smarting from Monday’s defeat to Leicester City.
