Aaron Ramsey’s contract situation remains up in the air at Arsenal.
The Welshman’s future is one major concern for Arsenal supporters as the season gets into full swing.
Ramsey is the longest-serving player in the first-team squad following the departure of Jack Wilshere, although there are fears that his decade long tenure is approaching its end.
The situation at the moment is quite simple. Ramsey has less than 12 months remaining on his contract at the Emirates Stadium, he’s yet to find an agreement over an extension and could leave the club for free next summer.
He will be free to speak to interested clubs in January if he does not find a solution to his contract issues between now and then and his start to the new Premier League season will be another concern for Gunners fans.
The 27-year-old started the defeat to Manchester City, but was hooked after 54 minutes, while he was on the substitutes’ bench for the defeat to Chelsea, entering the fray for the final 22 minutes.
New head coach Unai Emery has said he wants to keep the Welshman at the Emirates, but there has been no breakthrough in negotiations between club and player as yet.
And former England boss Sam Allardyce believes Ramsey should leave the club.
