If reports making the rounds are anything to go by, a deal by Arsenal for Aleksandre Lacazette has been okayed by the Lyon’s manager Bruno Gresio.
Lacazette has being on the transfer books of Arsenal but an offer for the player was rebuffed by the club the club. Recent reports suggest Arsenal are lining up a £35m bid for the French star which is an improvement over the first offer.
Although, the president of Lyon Jean-Michel Aulas had said they are unwilling to sell, the tune of Gresio seem to contradict that of his employer. Gresio selects the team, it shows he is prepared to do without Lacazette.
When quizzed about a possible move for Lacazette from Parc Olympique Lyonnais, Gresio said:
“He can leave if Lyon want him to,” Gresio said. There are some offers that you cannot refuse. My desire as manager is that the best players stay and Lacazette is very important for the team.
“I have been assured by my president that we will keep the player. You never know what could happen right up until the 31st August.”
He will be a great addition to any team as the player is strong and hardworking. Arsenal have struggled a bit in attack as the conversion rate of Giroud seems below par.
Lacazette ended the penultimate season as top scorer for his club with 27 League goals in 33 games.
