Arsenal have on Tuesday announced that Alexandre Lacazette has won both the Arsenal player of the month award and goal of the month award for September.

Lacazette was awarded goal of the month for his strike vs Everton.

Lacazette excels for Arsenal

Both Arsenal and Lacazette had a rough start to the 2018/19 season.

The Gunners would lose their opening two games vs Chelsea and Manchester City, while Lacazette would fail to score.

However, the Frenchman put in a much better showing for the month of September.

In Arsenal’s game vs newly-promoted Cardiff, Lacazette would score and assist one as Arsenal came away with a 3-2 win.

The 27-year-old would also score as Arsenal beat Everton 2-0 and then earn an assist as the Gunners also beat Watford 2-0.

Lacazette would also come off the bench and score in the League Cup vs Brentford.
