Despite his rise to fame being unprecedented, Arsenal youngster Alex Iwobi has been nominated for the Africa’s youth player of the year award and he’s also made the bench for Africa’s team of the year.
Ahead of the 25th Glo-CAF Awards tonight [Thursday] in Abuja, the Confederation of African Football named their African XI.
Manchester City’s Kelechi Iheanacho was also named on the bench.
Asisat Oshoala from Arsenal ladies is one of the nominees for Women’s Player of the Year.
The final three for each awards category was also announced but only the categories that concern Arsenal that we have reviewed.
