on Friday Arsenal triggered Jamie Vardy’s release clause. The Gunners reportedly offered him a £120,000 a week contract and gave him a four years contract. The deal was expected to be straight forward due to the presence of a release clause but Leicester City never wanted to lose the player so fast and have made a counter offer to the player which is closer to what Arsenal have offered him hence the player delayed making a final decision on whether to stay at liberty stadium or move to the Emirates
However, newer report emanating from France suggest that the player is currently undergoing his medical in France today after Arsenal got permission from England manager Roy Rodgson to carry out the medicals. This means Vardy has finally given Arsenal the green light and will now be moving to the Emirates.
This report if true won’t be a surprise at all. This is because Arsenal is a big move for Vardy and considering he is already 29, no one in their senses will blame him for moving to a bigger club as considering his age, he will never have such an opportunity again. No disrepect to Leicester City fans but Arsenal is head and shoulder above your club and that’s a fact.
