Jamie Vardy To Become A Gunner Still? Leicester Releases BIG NEWS

English Premier League champions’ vice-chairman Aiyawatt Srivaddhanaprabha believes, striker Jamie Vardy will reject Arsenal’s offer and stay at the King Power Stadium next season.

Vardy, who is currently on international duty to represent his national side in European championship, has been the subject of a £20 million bid from Arsenal which triggered the release clause in the player’s contract and appeared to be heading to Arsenal few weeks ago.

The situation has changed dramatically since and the 29-year-old now remains unsure over his next move despite agreeing personal terms with Arsenal.

The clubs’ vice-chairman is hopeful that Vardy will stay at the King Power stadium next season, after Leicester City reportedly offered him a new contract worth around £120,000-a-week over the next four years.

“You will see the news very soon, but I think he(Jamie Vardy) will stay.

“I think so, let’s see. We need to build the team. We keep continuing to believe that we can do something special in the Premier League and the Champions League.

“The Champions League is going to be amazing for Leicester. Leicester is the underdog and we can still be the underdog.” Srivaddhanaprabha told Daily Mail.

The former Fleetwood Town striker played a key role in the champions surprise English Premier League victory last season, scoring 24 league goals and breaking 13 year-long record to score in 11 consecutive Premier League matches along the way.

Vardy came off the bench at half-time in England’s first win at Euro 2016 against Wales last week and scored the equalizer for his country to continue his extraordinary campaign.

Vardy and England head into their final group match against Slovakia on Tuesday as favourites to top Group B and reach the quarter finals of European championship.
