A report in the Mirror Newspapers yesterday is claiming that Arsenal’s midfielder, Jack Wilshere will be fit to take part in this year’s World Cup in Brazil. This is not only good news for the Three Lions manager, Roy Hodgson, but also great news for Arsene Wenger whose team has been marred with injuries to key players since the start of the season.
There were fears and concerns whether Wilshere, who got injured during England’s last international friendly against Denmark at Wembley early this month would be able to make the team to this year’s FIFA World Cup in Brazil. The recent report, if true is going to serve as a major boost for both England and Arsenal.
The Mirror reports that the England manager was assured that the player will form a part of the team’s World Cup team to the South American country. The England team is in dire need of hardworking and skillful midfielders like Jack; and the recent report is bound to lift morale.
The England manager had earlier said he would include the 22 year old Arsenal midfielder in his 23 man team to Brazil; but the latest development is a further boost to ensure the player is never left out of the team.
Though, no official statement has been made by the club as to this latest development also reported by the Daily Mail, it is expected that Wilshere should have recovered well enough to make the team according to what the manager said the first time the injury was confirmed.
The Arsenal midfielder, who has suffered series of setbacks in the past was also reported by the Mirror this morning to be making great progress even as the manager hopes to have him ready in the team’s FA Cup semi final coming up in Wembley on the 12th of next month.
Wilshere has scored some spectacular goals for the Gunners this season including the wonder goal against Norwich City early in the season. The player is one of several other key players currently sidelined by injury in the Arsenal team.
