Jack Wilshere is a shock summer target for Wolves, who will be playing Premier League football next season having won promotion from the Championship.
Wilshere, the Arsenal midfielder, is in the midst of a contract stand-off with the north Londoners. The 26-year-old’s current deal expires at the end of the season, and though talks have been held with him, Wilshere is yet to put pen to paper on an extension.
Just today Arsene Wenger admitted he has no idea whether Wilshere will stay with Arsenal past the end of this season, despite being a Gunner since the age of nine.
And Wolves are ready to approach Wilshere this summer if his contract situation is not resolved, according to the Daily Mail.
Nuno’s side, who clinched their return to the top flight on Saturday, are owned by Fosun International, who also own a stake in super-agent Jorge Mendes’ company, Gestifute. Mendes’ influence helped the Molineux club sign the likes of Ruben Neves and Diego Jota last summer, as well as hire Nuno, who was Mendes’ first ever client.
