ARSENAL youngster Marcus McGuane is attracting interest from a host of top club across Europe, with Juventus thought to be in prime position for his signature.
The 18-year-old midfield dynamo, who has drawn comparisons to Paul Pogba in his style of play, has entered into the final 12 months of his contract at the Emirates.
The Independent claim the Gunners are keen to keep hold of McGuane by offering him a new deal, although with Manchester United, Manchester City, Napoli and Juventus all monitoring the former England U18 captain, his future at the club looks far from certain.
While his appearances for the U23 team have been restricted to just a handful to date, the above footage demonstrates why McGuane has been attracting such attention.
Participating in a series of skills drills led by fitness coach Saul Isaksson-Hurst, the talented star works on his first touch and agility by controlling passes with his back to goal before spinning a rifling a shot at goal.
However, his task is made harder by the use of an obstacle on the goal line, only allowing space for the ball to be hit in the top and bottom corners of the net.
Isaksson-Hurst, whose company MyPersonalFootballCoach.com provides students with an online technical training programme to follow, told Starsport that he expected McGuane to reach the very top.
Marcus came to me in preseason with an ambition to work on several elements of his game,” Isaksson-Hurst said.
“He is one of the most dedicated and driven young players that I have worked with and I know he has a big future in front of him.”
It comes after reports that Arsenal would consider accepting an offer of £70m from Manchester City for contract rebel Alexis Sanchez.
