If reports making the rounds in the media is anything to go by, then Arsenal will announce their first signing of the winter transfer window.
Arsenal are in advanced talk with Sunderland in a bid to sign their goalkeeper Jordan Pickford.
Picford recently caught the attention of Arsene Wenger and the report states that the would be loaned back to Sunderland if Arsenal succeed in pulling the deal for the player.
We are not alone in the chase of the player. It is understood that Tottenham, Everton and Manchester City are on his case too but he would certainly favour the Emirates move since Wenger gives chance to all his players.
David Ospina has played in all six Champions League games this season and Emiliano Martinez recently signed a new long-term contract at the club.
But it appears Wenger doesn’t really believe in Martinez.
Pickford is a Sunderland academy graduate and has made 18 appearances for the Black Cats this season.
His performances have earned rave reviews and he helped David Moyes’ side get off the foot of the table last weekend.
