According to reports across the media, Spain international striker Alvaro Morata is thought to favour a move to North London club Arsenal over London rivals Chelsea.
The Spaniard, who recently re-joined Real Madrid for a reduced buy-back clause from Serie A club juventus, is widely believed to be sold to either of the London rivals Arsenal or Chelsea before this summer for huge profit to finance other transfers. Considering the strength of the current Real squad, it seems theirs no place for the striker at the Bernabeu.
Initially it was thought that Morata was on his way to London club Chelsea, considering they have the enough cash to pay Real Madrid’s asking price, but the English media is now claiming that the 23-year-old striker would prefer a move to the Emirate stadium instead of Stamford bridge.
It seems the Gunners are willing to pay Real Madrid’s £65m asking price to bring the Spain international to North London, but, but most fans are sceptical their beloved club would pay anywhere near that amount.
The Spain international striker was a part of the Spain squad at the European championship that lost 2-0 to Italy in Round of 16. He led his national side’s attack and scored three goals in the competition. He had earlier admitted that he wants to join a club, where they will make him feel important.
