David Ospina has confirmed that he will stay at Arsenal and see out his contract, according to the Sun.

He was expected to leave the club this summer after failing to beat out Petr Cech for the club’s number one spot.

He will however stay and fight for the spot.

Since moving to Arsenal he has largely been limited to games in the cups and European football with Cech taking most of the games in the Premier League.

He has been linked with a move to Turkey for the past couple of seasons but looks set to stay in London for at least another year.

Wojciech Szczesny left the club for Juventus recently leaving Ospina as the clear number two if he stays.

Arsenal have been linked with moves for young goalkeepers such as Jordan Pickford and Jack Butland but look likely to stick with what they have until next summer when a move for Butland could be a lot more likely.
