The Gunners make the trip to Germany for their Champions League round of 16 first-leg tie on Wednesday evening.
Bayern have two main injury concerns ahead of the clash with Ribery and Boateng both major doubts.
Ribery has been out for two weeks with a thigh injury he suffered in training but could be back on the Bayern bench against Arsenal.
However, boss Carlo Ancelotti is wary against taking a chance on France midfielder’s fitness.
The Italian chief said: “It’s a difficult one. We won’t take any risks.”
Centre-back Boateng will likely sit out of the game as he continues his recovery from a shoulder injury.
Bayern said in a statement: “Jerome Boateng is making good progress in his comeback from injury.
“The German ‘Footballer of the Year 2016’ took the next step in his rehabilitation programme on Monday morning as he took part in some warm-up exercises with the rest of the team.
“The centre-back then continued his individual training. Boateng has been out of action since having an operation in December.”
On Ribery, the statement added: “[He] was also toiling away as he nears his return.”
Bayern are currently top of the Bundesliga table and beat league strugglers Ingolstadt 2-0 at the weekend.
Arsenal, meanwhile, also won 2-0 on Saturday, beating Hull to go third in the Premier League.
