As Arsenal look to sign a quality playmaker to reinforce their attacking midfield this transfer window and Mario Gotze is in the lime light.
According to the Sun, Arsenal want to secure the signing of Mario Gotze in a deal believed to be worth around 34 million Euros this summer after it looks unlikely that Arsenal will lure Mkhitaryan.
Gotze is linked with a move away from Bayen Munich after an injury hit last campaign with the club. With German Champions having hired the services of Portuguese International Renato Sanches from Portugese side Benfica and it will not come as any surprise if Mario Gotze eventually leaves this summer.
The “enormous quality” playmaker is capable of playing anywhere in the attacking third, and he will be a terrific addition for the Gunners.
The former Borrusia Dortmund superstar is will line up with German teammate Mesut Ozil and Alexis Sanchez in the attack if he eventually moves to the Emirates.
