According to the agent of Anderlecht striker Aleksandar Mitrovic, Arsenal are keeping a close tab on his client and will consider signing him in the future. The 18 year old striker only yesterday completed his move to Anderlecht from his home town club Partizan Belgrade.
Arsenal were reportedly interested in signing the highly rated Serbian international but issues with work permit made them drop the idea although recent reports and the players agent have confirmed the gunners are very ready to continue to follow the progress of the player even while in the Belgian league.
Agent Nenad Jestrovic confirmed to TMW: “Yes, Arsenal showed great interest, but he ended up at Anderlecht as they tried more insistently and were never ready to quit.”
For Aleksandar Mitrovic to get a work permit in England, he needs to have paid at least 75% of both his club and countries ( national team, juniors not included ) matches over the last 2 years prior to when the application for the work permit is made. Aleksandar Mitrovic has so far paid only 1 international game for Serbian and may have to wait at least 2 more years to be able to get work permit in England.
