Goodbye Theo Walcott: Star moves to Everton after 12years

This time last week I’d have inserted some kind of sarcastic oh-yeah-good-idea-Paul-join-a-relegation-threatened-side-instead-of-a-mid-table-team but, after the events of the past weekend, Bournemouth are just three points behind the Blues.

That’s one congested Premier League table, isn’t it?

But while the Cherries are closing in on the Blues in terms of league standing, surely not many people in football would believe a move to the south coast is more attractive than Goodison Park.

Merson does, because of the style of football currently on offer under Sam Allardyce.

He’d have to majorly pull up trees at Everton, and the way Everton play, it’s going to be hard to pull up trees.

The perfect fit, for me, with him would be Bournemouth. They play 4-4-2, they play attacking football, pacey.

With a deal for Walcott rumoured to be close, however, it seems that the Arsenal winger isn’t listening to Merson.
