Arsene Wenger has reportedly held talks with Alexandre Lacazette and Romelu Lukaku as he steps up his chase of a striker.
Arsenal are looking to sign a striker after losing out on England international and Leicester City ace Jamie Vardy who snubbed a move to Arsenal.
Gunners chief spoke to French club Lyon and Premier league side Everton and both the forward’s agents last week, as he looks to sign a new striker before Pre-season.
Premier league side Everton are reportedly demanding a fee of about £65m for Lukaku but it is believed they would be willing to let him leave for around £40m.
Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has been an admirer of French striker Lacazette, having watched him personally playing for his French side couple of times over the past few seasons.
But Lacazette is believed to be Arsene Wenger’s second choice option behind Belgium forward Romelu Lukaku, and would cost around £38m.
An Arsenal source said: “Arsene is keen to get a new striker in as soon as possible, but won’t rush anything and overspend.
“Olivier Giroud is very much in his plans, but he wants to get someone in and was upset about losing out on Jamie Vardy.”
Arsenal will have to fight off interest from London rivals Chelsea foe the signature og the Belgian striker.
