It is no exaggeration to say that Arsenal’s title charge has suffered serious blow in recent weeks no thanks to injuries to key players. The Gunners have had to come with the absence of key midfielders Mesut Ozil, Jack Wilshere and Aaron Ramsey for some months. Thankfully, the Welshman is back and Ozil isn’t far away but as for Wilshere though his return isn’t anytime soon but it is not so far away and could still play a pivotal part in Arsenal’s season run in.
Arsenal’s Premier League title hopes might be all but over but there is still a lot to fight for; FA Cup and a top 4 finish which makes all of Arsenal’s remaining games this season, one of utmost importance.
On Wilshere’s injury’s progress report, it has been reported that he has hit the gym though Wenger revealed he had not yet started running. Nice to see Wilshere passing time in a most productive way. While his leg heals, let him add some muscles in the upper part, it will come in handy when he returns to the field.
However, I think it is important that we do not rush him back to action. I personally believe the main reason why Wilshere has been plagued with injuries lately is as a result of the fact that he has been over played and sometime rushed back from injury ( an area in which England managers are more guilty ). Both England and Arsenal need to exercise caution if the budding career of the midfielder is not to be ruined.
