It is looking increasingly like Wenger is going to be very usually active in the transfer market this summer. After signing Granit Xhaka from Monchengladbach, Arsenal have since gone on to activate the release clause of Jamie Vardy and are looking like they will be signing Henrikh Mkhitaryan from Dortmund. However, aside those coming in, the club is said to be actively negotiating deals for those they want to see leave the club this summer.
one of such deals according to Football insider is been discussed with Liverpool in regards to the transfer of Theo Walcott from the Emirates to Anfield. Theo Walcott had a very poor season last term and has been rumoured to be on his way out of the club with Southampton, West Ham and Leicester City all linked with this signing. Football insider however reckon Liverpool are the likeliest club to sign Walcott.
The Reds are said to be ready to pay Arsenal as much as £25 million to get the player. They will reportedly offer him £120,000 a week which is just £20,000 a week short of the reportedly £140,000 a week he currently earns at Arsenal.
Although Wenger has reportedly told the player he remains in Arsenal’s plans, it will however be a surprise if Arsenal do not sell him this summer especially if Wenger is able to get Mkhitaryan or Riyad Mahrez.
