According to reports, North London club Arsenal will turn their attentions towards signing Marseille striker Michy Batshuayi this summer after Jamie Vardy snubbed the Emirate club.
Arsenal are widely believed to have failed in their attempts to lure Leicester City striker Jamie Vardy to North London after lodging a bid in the region of £20m for the Leicester striker.
The England international striker has reiterated that he will not make a decision about his future until after his involvement in the European championship with England; it is widely thought that he will turn down a move to Arsenal.
Vardy’s snub is likely to prompt the Emirate club to look elsewhere for attacking reinforcements and according to Italian journalist Emanuele Giulianelli, the Gunners are pondering a bid for Batshuayi.
“With Vardy remaining at Leicester, Arsenal new target will be Michy Batshuayi. #afc”
Michy Batshuayi has attracte interest from many clubs across Europe this summer, and looked like joining most clubs across Europe too.
Batshuayi is an ideal candidate for Arsenal attack, having scored 23 goals for Marseille last season and registering 10 assists in 50 games. He is still only 22 years of age, ideally fitting into Arsene Wenger’s transfer quota of signing young stars.
