Arsene Wenger’s search for a striker has led him to Turkey as he considers making a move for Burak Yilmaz.
Arsenal are desperately looking to add a striker to their squad. Having already missed out on Stevan Jovetic and Gonzalo Higuain, with a move for Luis Suarez looking dim, Wenger has opened up the possibility of a move for the Turkish international.
Yilmaz showed his talents well in last seasons Champions League. He netted eight goals in Europe last season which put him joint third in the scoring charts level with Lionel Messi and Thomas Muller. The striker also managed an impressive 24 goals in 30 league games as Galatasaray romped to the title.
Despite his excellent scoring threat, the Turkish champions are willing to sell the 28-year old but only for the right price with a £20 million fee set as a starter price.
Oscar Cardozo, Samuel Eto’o, Erik Lamela and Wayne Rooney have also been mentioned as possible targets as Wenger looks to finally start his summer spending.
