A few weeks back Italian sources claimed that Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger was reviving his long-term interest in 29-year-old Colombian and AC Milan striker, Carlos Bacca. Wenger has actively had Bacca on his radar since his playing time with Sevilla according to reports.
Milan are said to be prepared to cash in on the Colombian striker and a ready to sell – but for no less than €30 million. Asides Arsenal, Bacca has attracted interest from West Ham, Chelsea and PSG. Bacca who netted 18 Serie A goals last season and has been a regular start in the Milan outfit over the last four years is set for a move to PSG.
PSG who have been currently active the transfer market, have done well to recruit the likes of Thomas Meunier, Grzegorz Krychowiak and Hatem Ben Arfa in the transfer window, but the void left by Zlatan still remains to be filled and Bacca has been identified as the man to fill that gap.
Arsenal fans will be unhappy at this as rivals Machester United have been known to benefit from signing old experienced strikers like Robin Van Persie, Henrik Larsson and now Zlatan Ibrahimovic. Robin Van Persie who moved from Arsenal to United was able to help guide United to a Premier League trophy and Bacca could be able to bring in a different dimension to Arsenal’s attack as he is able to run fast and also score goals (unlike Giroud or Walcott).
