Norwich City’s Max Aarons has signed a new five-year deal with the Canaries after being linked with a move to Arsenal or Chelsea.
The highly-rated right-back has made nine appearances this season, scoring one goal in the EFL Cup, while the majority of his minutes have come in the Championship after becoming their first choice for that position.
Aarons joined Norwich in the summer of 2016 when he left Luton Town for the Canaries youth setup.
“I’m really happy as the club has shown their faith in me,” Aarons said after it was announced he had signed up until 2023.
“To play me at 18 years old, some managers wouldn’t have done that, so I can only thank the boss for that.
“It’s amazing, from last season with the under-23s and now in the Championship it has been a big step, I’ve really enjoyed it and can’t wait to carry on.”
Aarons is a right-footer who can also play at left-back if required.
