Fee Agreed, Medical Planned, Arsenal To Sign “New Messi”

It seems like Arsenal is set to add to their first acquisition of the summer transfer by bringing in youngster Maxi Romero.

After announcing the capture of Swiss midfielder Xhaka, Arsenal have moved for the 17-year old currently plying his trade at Argentine clubside, Velez Sarsfield.

Wenger is interested in a move to bring the talented youngster to London just one year after his initial attempt. The teenager caught the attention of Arsenal scouts last year.

The teenager has been named the “new messi” in Argentina because of his super dribbling skills and his knack for scoring goals like the Barcelona super star, Lionel Messi.

Reports according to the Mirror via the Express state that Wenger wants to sign the striker again this summer and he is prepared to pay as much as £4.5m for him.

Should the deal be confirmed, Romero is expected to remain in Argentina according to FIFA rules which prevents clubs from signing players less than 18 years from non-EU countries.

Wenger will try all he can to sign the teenage striker as this will give him the opportunity to frame the youngster into his own kind of striker.
