Arsenal are ready to firm up their interest in Brentford defender Ezri Konsa with a £15m bid, according to reports.
The 21-year-old has emerged as one of the stars of the Championship after joining the Bees from Charlton Athletic in a £2.85million deal during the summer.
He has reportedly impressed watching Gunners scouts with Arsenal keen on recruiting young talent from the lower leagues as part of their new transfer policy.
Konsa featured at the Emirates Stadium earlier this season in Arsenal’s 3-1 win over Brentford but it appears his performances have caught the eye.
The England under-21 international could now be set for a January switch with the £15m offer planned, reports the Sun.
The youngster spoke recently about his desire to play in the top flight.
“They play my style of football and it is a very good club for me to come and develop.
“Every season the club has played in the Championship they have finished in the top 10 so I thought it was a good move for me.
