If Arsenal doesn’t win the League in the May of 2017, we stand no chance of attracting or retaining some of the world class players in our ranks.
According to report, Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola placed a phone call to Alexis Sanchez in a bid to lure the star player to the Etihad,
El Mercurio claim that Guardiola was impressed with Sanchez’s display against West Ham and is now in the want of the player to help salvage his team from capitulation.
The report claims that the City manager has held talks with the Chile international on two separate occasions as he is keen on bringing him to the Etihad Stadium.
Sanchez had been under the tutelage of Guardiola while at Barcelona before Guardiola left the Camp Nou,
Sanchez, who was signed by Arsenal for £31.7 million in 2014, remains in negotiations with the Gunners over a new contract, with his current deal set to expire in 2018.
The Chilean has been in sublime form for Arsene Wenger’s side this season, scoring 13 goals in 19 appearances.
