Ricardo Rodriguez agent has said the youngster has a release clause in his Wolfsburg contract, as Arsenal eye the wonderkid.
International Business is reporting that Arsenal is set to trigger Rodriguez £19m release clause in his contract, as he has been heavily linked with the North London club. The full-backs agent, Gianluca Di Domenico, has confirmed the player has an active release clause. The did not reveal how much it’s worth.
Domenico told Express,
“Today, Ricardo Rodriguez has a termination clause, which was not there before. You have to respect the contracts,”
On joining Arsenal, Domenico said:
“That would be exciting, yes, especially because the room arrangement at Arsenal would be fixed as well.”
It’s been reported that Italian side AS Roma have also been linked with Rodriguez and his agent has suggested that the full back could be tempted to Serie A if an offer was put on the table as the player ‘loves’ Italy.
The agent continued:
“Ricardo loves Italy so much, so surely if there was a serious proposal we would see. But we need to see if there will be.”
It’s now clear that the Gunners can sign Ricardo Rodriguez if the London club meet his release clause, which is reportedly set at £19m. According to Evening Standard the player was quoted to have said he will like to follow Granit Xhaka, his Swiss team mate to Arsenal.
Lot of Arsenal fans are of the believe that the club can offer a lot more than clubs likes Roma or any other Italian clubsides, and youngster has made his intentions known on joining the Gunners, the deal is there if Arsenal truly want to bring him on board.
Wenger has been busy in the transfer market, signing Swiss international Xhaka and the pursuit of England International Jamie Vardy.
