With Granit Xhaka looking like the midfielder who will solidify Arsenal’s midfield next season, one would ordinarilly think Arsenal won’t sign any other midfielder this summer. However, Ramsey is said to be trying to force a move away from Arsenal hence Wenger is reportedly keen on signing another midfielder. Newcastle United’s Moussa Sissoko and N’Golo Kante have both been linked.
However, according to reports in France, Liverpoool are winning the race for the signature of the Frenchman and have had a bid accepted.
Here is Arsenal losing out on another summer transfer target, but this set back won’t be an issue, as the Gunners have huge talent in the midfield already that would make it hard for the French man to break into the team even if Ramsey leaves.
Didier Deschamps had largely ignored the French man throughout the group stages as he continued with his 4-3-3 system.
He did put up a sensational performance as France laterally strolled into the semi-final beating Iceland 5-2 to play with World Champions Germany.
Sissoko, 26, joined the Magpies from Toulouse in 2013, and Newcastle boss Rafa Benitez is believed to be keen on retaininghis services.
Sissoko ‘loves the idea’ of playing for the Gunner but it remains unknown whether the Arsenal boss will make a move for the French internarional midfielder, accordingtoreportsfromMarca.
According to French media outlet Foot Mercato, Liverpool are not only interested in the midfielder, but they’re thought to be favourites to beat the Gunners for his signature.
Other top clubs like Tottenham Hotspur and Borussia Dortmund are also keen on him, but it remains unknown whether the Spurs and Dortmund agree to meet his €25m price tag.
