It has been a tough few weeks for the Gunners, but a solid win against Swansea City on Saturday has improved their mood levels. Though Arsene Wenger’s side has caused a lot of frustration to fans this term, they look to be finally turning a corner, and that’s great news for the Gunners.

Fortunately for the fans in the pub, there may be even more good news on the horizon, too. According to the Sun, Arsenal are finally ready to tie down young Eddie Nketiah, who currently has just over 18 months left on his current deal at the Emirates. Talks are reportedly set to get underway within the next month, with the forward set to receive a mammoth pay rise for his efforts. A £15,000-per-week deal is in the offing, it is said.

Nketiah, of course, rose to prominence after scoring a brace in Arsenal’s 2-1 win over Norwich City last week. He possesses electric pace, technical brilliance and, evidently, a very efficient knack for goalscoring. It’s clearly a time for transition at the Emirates, and with all the natural quality that he brings to the table, he is destined to have a bright future. Arsenal, now, want to make sure that his future remains at the club.
