Arsenal have announced that English man Ryan Huddart has been sent on a season long loan to National League side Eastleigh FC.
The English goalkeeper is highly rated by Arsenal as he has shown flashes of brilliance in his time at the club. Arsenal are reluctant to sell him as the club see him as one for the future. The goalkeeper is rated above many of his peers and the loan deal has been arranged for him to gain first team experience and get playing time.

Huddart is the 5th in goalkeeper ranking at the club with Petr Cech, David Ospina, Wojciech Szczesny and Damien Martinez all ahead of him, although he was named on the bench in the Champions League away game against Borussia Dortmund and Anderlecht some years ago.
Though his loan deal isn’t a bad idea what fans cannot fathom is why it had to be at a club in the National League when there are other clubs in League One and League Two respectively . While there is no intention to disrespect Eastleigh and the National League but one will find it difficult to decipher what a 19-year-old goalkeeper of a Premier League club would learn in the National League.
At 19, Huddart is old enough to start in a Premier League game as there are various examples of goalkeepers who started even before that age. Though Huddart is not yet first class, it would have been better that he was sent on loan to a club that played in a higher league than Eastleigh.
Having said all these, one will only pray that the 19-year-old proves the fans wrong and his manager right by excelling and becoming a better player at the expiration of the loan deal next year.
