From the inception of the current transfer market, Arsenal have been on their heels to signing attacking reinforcement. This led them to making enquiry for former Toulouse star, Wissam Ben Yedder as confirmed by the manager of the French outfit.
Nonetheless, Arsenal have now the player to Sevilla with reports stating that Arsenal’s offer for the French bloke was turned down. We thought Ben Yedder would prefer joining Wenger since he was French.
Affirming Arsenal’s approach for the player, Toulouse manager Pascal Dupraz told daily paper Estadio Deportivo:
“He could have gone to Arsenal, who are one of the biggest clubs. But Sevilla are also a big club and I think La Liga is perfect for him, because he is a technical player and very attacking.”
This is worrying, because several targets have been turning down offers from Arsenal. Jamie Vardy was the first to refuse to a move to Arsenal and now Ben Yedder. It is either we are now offering enough for the players or Wenger doesn’t really want to sign them after all.
