Arsene Wenger is billed to meet with representatives of two stars in France this week as the Arsenal manager steps up his pursuit of new and talented players this summer according to reports emanating from the Daily Star.
Arsene Wenger has already splash out £30m after signing of Swiss international midfirleder Granit Xhaka from Bundesliga side Borussia Monchengladbach and recently, the Frenchman confirmed that he’s planning to bring in more new players over the coming weeks.
Wenger was quoted by the Daily Star saying,
“We’ve already bought one player – Granit Xhaka – from Monchengladbach, because we’ve lost three players.
“So we’ve bought one midfielder and we’re still in the market to buy one or two more players.”
It seems the Frenchman is now working towards his second signing of the summer as the reports from British tabloid Daily Star claim that he is due to hold meeting with the representative of a couple of transfer targets in France this week.
The press has linked Arsenal with several players, but the Mirror is claiming that one of the players Arsenal is after is French international and Lyon striker Alexandre Lacazette with the Arsenal manager understood to be meeting the 25-year-old agent, David.
Lacazette scored 23 goals for Lyon last season and the striker has been linked with several clubs with the likes of West Ham and Atletico Madrid while Daily star claimed Lacazette will cost the Arsenal at least £45m should Arsenal insist to push ahead with a move for him.
