Arsenal are yet linked with another La Liga Star Sime Vrsaljko, who plies his trade for the Rojiblancos.
According to reports, Arsenal and Manchester City were on the running for the defender in the summer but the former Sassuolo player opted to join Athletico Madrid.
Considering he’s been getting hardly any game time this season – just one game, oh dear – the 24-year-old insists he wants to stay with Atletico and fight for his place.
“I’m not thinking of leaving Atletico,” he told El Mundo Deportivo.
“I do not want to talk too much about my situation, of course I want to play more, but things are the way they are.
“It depends on me working hard and showing the coach what I’m worth.”
I doubt we are in anyway interested in him. Bellerin is currently doing well for us at right back and the return of Carl Jenkinson from injury means we have no need of right full back at the moment.
In fact, we offer them Mathieu Debuchy who is surplus to our requirement right now.
