After announcing the signing of their second major summer signing, North London giants Arsenal have today agreed to send one of the club’s most young prospects out on loan to a League One side, in order to gather more playing experience on the competitive level.
The highly rated Arsenal youngster Dan Crowley, was expected to go out on loan once again for the upcoming season, as Arsene Wenger had previously spoken about how the wonder kid is yet to achieve the required standard of physicality to thrive in the English Premier League.
The talented 18 year old Englishman lacks the conviction and strength that is needed to perform in a competitive and physically demanding English Premier League game.
The Gunners have therefore announced today that the young talent will be joining League One side Oxford United on a season long loan. Crowley is sure to get a lot of playing time at Oxford United and the experience will help boost his ability, confidence, competitiveness and give him a real taste of the professional game.
Should he stay at the Emirate next season, it was likely we see him in the early rounds of the domestic cup competitions, but aside that he will be stuck in the youth ranks and sadly the youth team will not give him enough competitive and professional edge that is needed to develop a youngster.
The wonder kid spent part of last season out on loan with Barnsley and managed to shine in his time there. He returned to the Emirate stadium with his shoulders high.
