The Premier League defending Champions Arsenal may have more departures than arrivals.
According to latest reports in France and England, Bordeaux are currently in talks with Arsenal to seal a deal for France born right back Mathieu Debuchy.
The former Newcastle United full back moved to the French outfit in the January of this year on a loan deal and helped them escaped relegation as he was impressive in all his nine appearances for the club.
Although, the 30-year-old right back is currently on Arsenal’s pre-season tour, the Daily Star is in the claim that a permanent deal is in the offing for the player by Bordeaux.
Following his continuous spell on the bench last season, he revealed that a move away from London is probable:
A future at Arsenal? It’s difficult because there’s a young guy who’s 20 in my position who is playing good matches.
“My future could be in France.”
Debuchy had a shoulder injury in the course of the penultimate season and he saw his position usurped by Spanish Bloke Hector Bellerin.
Should he complete the deal, Arsenal would be left with Bellerin as the only natural right full back in the club.
