Arsenal have reportedly been alerted by the availability of Manchester United midfielder Andreas Pereira, with reports suggesting he could be on the move in January.
The Brazil international came through the ranks at United and was highly rated while honing his craft in the club’s younger teams.
Successive loans to Granada and Valencia in La Liga suggested he was ready for more first-team football and he started United’s opening two games of this season.
Arsenal and Chelsea are also monitoring Pereira, but a move to West Ham would make more sense as the 22-year-old seeks regular playing time.
Pereira has made 19 senior appearances for United so far but just six of those have come to this campaign.
Pereira’s contract runs out at the end of the season and there have been reports suggesting United have no intention of offering him an extension, meaning this is likely to be his final crack at the Champions League with the Red Devils.
However, the Manchester United hierarchy are ready to sell, and the asking price could be as low as £10million, according to a report in the Sunday Mirror.
Inter, Valencia and Monaco have also been linked with moves should United prefer not to sell to a divisional rival.
