Lyon ace Alexandre Lacazette has spoken out on his future, admitting he is ‘interested’ in a move to the Premier League.
After enjoying another superb season in France, scoring 36 goals in all competitions, Lacazette is being strongly linked with a host of English clubs.
Arsenal have held interest in the 26-year-old for many years, while Liverpool and Manchester United are also said to be keen to secure his services.
The Gunners appear in pole position to land a deal, however, with BeIN Sports claiming talks are underway over a proposed switch to north London.
Amid intense speculation over his future, Lacazette has praised the Premier League, insisting it is a ‘great’ division.
‘That could be an interesting option,’ the Frenchman told Eurosport when asked about the possibility of joining an English side.
‘It is a great league with interesting teams. For the moment, those are only rumours.’
Lacazette confirmed he would wait until the end of the international spell before making a decision over his future, while also commenting on Atletico Madrid’s transfer ban.
He added: ‘I will wait until the end of the international stint with France before taking any decision.
‘Like everyone else, I heard the news [about Atletico]. This was always going to be a possibility, it was 50-50. The decision had not perturbed me, life goes on.’
