Arsenal not only ensure they sign a striker, a centre back and maybe a wing forward this summer, they also need to ensure the core of their current team is kept. If Wenger wants to give the team a chance of winning the title next season that’s. And it appears the club is keen on doing this. As according to the Mirror, Arsenal have turned back several bids from clubs who are interested in signing Olivier Giroud.
According to the report, Arsenal were initially ready to listen to offers for Giroud, but after getting rejected by Jamie Vardy, they have now changed their ton and are no longer open to the sale of the Frenchman. Giroud has been widely criticised by Arsenal fans but a look at his record since he signed for us shows he has not done too badly. He has scored 82 goals in 187 games. Not a bad turn over for a player that was bought for £13million.
One will think as Wenger is keen on keeping Giroud, he will not be bringing in a striker but according to Mirror, the Frenchman is working hard behind the scene to make sure a classy striker is brought to the Emirates to complement Olivier Giroud.
