Dick Law Flys To Germany To Negotiate Mkhitaryan Signing, £35m Deal Close

Recall when Arsenal signed Granit Xhaka but didn’t announce the deal but the fans of the club on twitter announced the deal and even have photos to proof the deal was done and dusted? The same thing is playing out now with reports from the social media claiming Arsenal chief negotiator Dick Law is in Germany apparently to hold discussion with Borussia Dortmund for the signing of Henrikh Mkhitaryan.

The high rated Armenian has constantly been linked with a move to Chelsea, Juve and Arsenal in the last few weeks after it emerged he will not be extending his contract which expires in 2017. The player according to various reports wants to play in the Premier League but he is not ready to leave Dortmund for a club that’s not playing in the Champions League which knocks out Chelsea from the race.

And with Dick Law said to be in Germany, it appears Arsenal believe there is a chance of getting the player and are going to be holding talks with Dortmund. Dortmund were initially said not to want to sell the player even if he doesn’t sign a new contract preferring to keep him for one more season and losing him on a free transfer.

The German clubside have however had a change of mind according to reports and are set to sign Empoli’s Riccardo Saponara as the replacement for Mkhitaryan.
