Arsenal have had a bid of £25m accepted by Real Madrid for Angel Di Maria according to highly respected Spanish journalist Guillem Balague. Just days ago it was reported that Galatasaray have had a bid accepted as well with only Arsenal’s interested reported but without a bid. Although Di Maria has said he does not want to leave, this hasn’t stopped Arsenal from making their move. He is now odds on to join Arsenal according to several Soccer Betting Picks one of which is docsports.com
If the report is true and Arsenal have had a bid accepted, it will be left to Arsenal to convince the player to join them. With the world cup in Brazil fast approaching and Real Madrid very likely to complete the signing of Tottenham’s Gareth Bale, Wenger and his negotiators may well be able to convince Di Maria to switch the Spanish La Liga for the English premier league.
Arsenal are also interested in Di Maria’s team mate Mesut Ozil who has also said he is not interested in leaving Real Madrid but if you judge by Real Madrid’s history in the transfer market, you will realize a player wanting to stay doesn’t count for much if the club wants to sell. Hunterlaar, Van Da Vaart, Sneijder and several others never wanted to leave but ended up been sold.
Balague will be the second Spanish Journalist to report that Real Madrid has accepted Arsenal’s bid. Breen-Turner also reported that a bid of 30 million Euros ( just 500k pounds more than what Balague is reporting ) had been accepted by Real Madrid and all that is left is the player been convinced to join Arsenal.
