Arsenal have now entered talks over a deal which could see one of the first team players say goodbye to the club on a permanent deal.
The Gunners are now back home after their summer tour of Australia and China which saw them register two victories, a draw (penalty shoot-out win) and a defeat which came against Chelsea last Saturday.
Following the acquisitions of Sead Kolasinac and Alexandre Lacazette, Wenger has admitted that he will have to offload fringe players before another new signing is made.
And it appears that Mohamed Elneny is the man whom the Arsenal manager is planning on letting go in his expected clear-out this summer.
According to reports, Galatasaray’s sporting director Cenk Ergun has now arrived in London to hold talks with Arsenal over the transfer of Elneny.
The 25-year-old only moved to the Emirates stadium 18 months ago from Basel in a deal which cost the Gunners around £5 million.
However, after failing to cement a place in Wenger’s starting line-up, Arsenal are now reportedly speaking to the Turkish side over a £10 million sale of Elneny.
