Chelsea are set to clear the way for Arsenal to land long-term Juventus target Alex Sandro.
According to a report from The Sun, the tabloid stated that the Blues will drop their interest in the Brazil international allowing the Gunners and Arsene Wenger to take the pole position in the race to sign the star.
Frther, the report suggests that the North London club are set to spend big on the player with £53m reportedly on cards to prize the star away from Serie A.
While it may come as a shock to the Blues supporters that their target could now be heading to the Emirates rather than Stamford Bridge, it is certainly Arsenal who require Sandro’s services to a far greater extent.
While Chelsea have Marcos Alonso in their ranks as one of the best Premier League left-backs, Arsenal are without an established regular in the position.
We have had persistent issues with the likes of Hector Bellerin, Debuchy, Rob Holding, and Nacho Monreal all making costly mistakes at the defense this season and Wenger has often rely on his summer signing Sead Kolasinac in the full-back position.
Alex Sandro could certainly be the new player to solve our full-back issues and more importantly serve as a great competition for Bellerin and could also help the club in sealing a top four finish this season.
