David Silva Is Better Than Mesut Ozil – Claims Mark Noble

mark-noble-west-ham-united_3010042Ozil is the name on the lips of everyone both in Europe and the Premier League but there is one player that believes there is another better midfielder than the German in the Premier League. Listen to West Ham midfielder Mark Noble.

“At the minute he is probably better.”

“He’s got that experience. He has won things with Spain. He has won championships here.

“He has won cups here and he is like that week in, week out. He is one of the best players on the pitch every time he goes out there. That’s what Spain seem to be bringing through these days. Every player that comes over or every player that you see on the telly is a top, top player.

“That’s why they have been winning everything over the last few years.”

Interesting thoughts from the Hammer but he seems to missing out some things. While I am not in the dark over the brilliance of Silva, I don’t believe he is in anyway better than Ozil. Judging Silva from his conquest with Spain is a bit out of place because the quality in La Furo Roja spreads to all the departments of the team. At club level, both players have enjoyed success. Silva has won the Premier League and FA Cup while Mesut Ozil during his stint with Real Madrid, also won the La Liga and Copa Del Rey. One area Noble ignored is their Champions league exploits. Ozil has gotten to semi finals of the continental show piece thrice while Silva is still waiting to experience what the knockout stages feel like with City.

Mark Noble shouldn’t be swift to judge who is better between Ozil and Silva because he hasn’t tasted from the venom of German wizard. He should wait till then before he speaks but I won’t be surprised if he labels Ozil as the most difficult player to play against.

  1. I will suggest Mark Noble should concentrate on how he can get in the England squad and not talk about other teams players. Also isn’t it about time the Arsenal bloggers out there should start writing more about the solid job Flamini does for Arsenal team, because without his graft and experience Arsenal won’t be sitting pretty at the top of the table.
