Latest report have claimed that Arsenal target Goncalo Guedes is currently in London to complete switch.
Guedes has scored 11 goals in 68 appearances for Benfica since making his debut for the Primeira Liga outfit back in 2014 but the 20-year-old has been consistently linked with a move to the Premier League in recent weeks.
Record suggest Red Devils boss Jose Mourinho is on the verge of beating Arsenal to the signing of the highly-rated Portugal international star.
It’s understood Benfica president Luis Filipe Vieira travelled to London for discussions with Guedes’ agent, Jorge Mendes, over an imminent move for the young forward.
Mourinho is on the hunt for attacking reinforcements following the departure of Memphis Depay earlier this week.
Benfica had hoped that Depay could be included in a deal for Guedes but this option has been ruled out after the Dutchman completed a £15million transfer to Lyon.
Ligue 1 giants Paris Saint-Germain remain interested in Guedes.
