From all indication, Wenger is likely to finally bring in the right players both in terms of quality and quantity this summer. With Granit Xhaka signed and announced, the club are working on more deals and aside incomings, Arsenal are working on tying down the core of the current squad.
According to sky sports, Arsenal will open discussion with Mesut Ozil and his represenatives once the European Championship ends. The Germany international has two years left on his contract and has been linked with a move to both Bayern Munich and PSG.
The doubts hanging on the head of Mesut Ozil has been a source of worry for Arsenal fans. And this is as a result of the number of players who have left the club due to their contracts expiring and refusing to sign new extension.
Although Ozil himself has told Arsenal fans he is certainly happy at the club and does not intend to leave any time soon.
“I still have two years contract with Arsenal, as you know, and we will be in talks with the club and we’ll see what happens in the future.
“But as I said, now I’m concentrating on Euro 2016 in France, which is very important for me and my team after the last World Cup. Then later on, I will see what I do with Arsenal.”
