Arsenal fans are used to seeing their best players run down their contracts and then force a move out of the club. Arsenal have often been burnt. The likes of Nasri, Robin Van Persie, Adebayor and others have in recent times left Arsenal simply because Arsenal do not have the money to give them juices offers and because we sometimes need to sell to balance the books.
But the times have changed and according to reports in the English media today, Arsenal are making good their words by rejecting a big money offer from Juventus for the signature of Alexis Sanchez. The Italians are said to have table two different bids for the Chilean which were rejected by Arsenal as we do not intend to sell the player, at least not for now.
Sanchez has only two years left on his contract but according to reports, Wenger is keen on convincing the South American to sign a new contract. He will reportedly be given as much as £185,000 a week on a new three years deal which will see him remain at Arsenal till he is 30.
PSG and Manchester City have also had approaches turned by for the former Barca star.
