Arsenal have had a bid turned down for Roma winger Cengiz Under, with the Italian side wanting a much higher fee, according to reports on the Daily Cannon.
The 20-year-old talented winger who has been labelled a wonderkid by the media has made 32 appearances for the Giallorossi this season scoring seven times in his last twelve appearances.
The Turkish international who is known for his ability to cross the ball and shoot from range has caught the attention of a number of clubs across Europe with his performance this season.
Arsenal made an enquiry for him earlier in March but were turned down as his club had no intention of selling.
They have now made a bid reported to be around £26 million, which Roma have turned down again but this time they are willing to do a deal closer to £44 million.
This is yet another transfer that the Gunner are reported to be close to sealing, after it was reported they had agreed a fee with Borussia Dortmund for Sokratis Papastathopoulos, and they are yet to announce a new manager.
This means either they already know who the next manager is and are making moves based on his recommendations, or the next manager will not be in charge of transfers at the club.
